A day at the beach...

That's right, we are at the beach in Jan. I guess that is why some people love living in Florida. We had a really good time and Gracie even went in the water a little bit. It was a little cold, so once she fell down in it she was pretty much done. It was very fun and relaxing though, and a beautiful day together before Stuart left for Mississippi.

Gracie in her Christmas dress, very cute of course. I actually bought this last year so I was so lucky she still fit in it. She just got these Elmo slippers (thank you after holiday clearance!) and I thought they were pretty funny. She says Elmo almost the same as she says momma, so you really have to listen or it is confusing.

Late Disney pics

Gracie does not like seeing the characters up close, even when it is a dog like Pluto.
We had to wake Gracie up to get this shot, but it was a pretty night with the castle all lite up for Christmas. We really aren't obsessed with Disneyworld, or rich, Stuart works here part time and gets us in for free, so why not do something as a family for free.

It's my birthday month, so that is why the backround is so festive. And to anyone else that has a birthday this month, then Happy Birthday to you as well...it's a good month to celebrate! My husband will miss my birthday this year, but this is the third year in a row so I guess it is now a tradition with us. But I am not complaining because he will be working and we are so thankful for that right now. Oh and Happy New Year to all, I hope this year is great for everyone!

I made a new cookie recipe, do you think Gracie liked them?
My mom sent this new advent calender which we all love. It didn't take Gracie long to figure out what went inside the pockets. Notice the super nice "florida/tropical" furniture in our living room. The theme is thru out the whole house. I know you guys are pretty jealous!

We went to the festival of lights at Disney Studios and it was beautiful. The lights dance along with music every now and then. Gracie was not quite sure if she liked all the noise and movement, but it was really fun. And they had snow machines, so that was really nice to remember our white Christmas of years past.

Generous Friends

I was just going thru Gracie's drawers and taking out outfits that she no longer fits in and exchanging them for the next size up, and I am amazed at how many cute outfits she has. This may sound strange, but the reason this takes me aback is because I have probably only bought her about 3 outfits of the old and the new. Almost all of of clothes have been donated by friends that were "cleaning out their closets", but what a great blessing for us! I can not say thank you enough to all of these people that were so willing to drop off boxes of clothes and toys and you may think it a small thing, but it really was an answer to prayer for us. I can't wait for the day when I can give these cute clothes to someone else starting their family.

Meemah sent Gracie her very own pillow with a puppy on one side and a fish on the other. Gracie loves it (even though she wouldn't smile for the picture) and drags it around with her, and she has to show it to me every morning first off when she wakes up. Very fun gift, thanks!
